William Shatner is once again diving into the music business, this time with country music label Heartland Records.
“Mr. Shatner is currently working on a very special project that will be released later this year,” Heartland announced on its website. “This new project promises to be one of the most entertaining musical ventures to date for the Emmy Award-winning actor.”
“In addition to being a[n] award winning actor, he has also written numerous books, directed several projects, and has recorded a few albums,” the statement continued. “More details will be released soon on the newest project with Heartland Records Nashville.”

The actor is probably best known for his role as Captain Kirk on the original “Star Trek” Series. During his career he’s been an actor, a director, author and singer. Over the last several decades, he has released eight albums, including his most recent “Ponder the Mystery” in 2013.
