The Oscars are around the corner, and it’s a great time to remember Matthew McConaughey’s outstanding 2014 speech.

McConaughey won the 2014 “Best Actor” for his role in “Dallas Buyers Club.” It was an outstanding film and one that you should all see.

Well, last night I had some free time before a party and I had a few cold Miller Lites. It reminded me of how McConaughey name dropped the beer company while talking about his dad during the incredible speech.

I quickly fired it up, and it never disappoints.

We really don’t see enough of this in Hollywood anymore. McConaughey went up there on the stage, told a human story, and thanked God. Every second of it was worth watching.

It’s a real shame that people like McConaughey are a rarity in Hollywood. It’d be pretty cool if he was the norm instead of having to be the exception.

It’s probably one of the reasons why he has grown so popular with movie fans, especially those in middle America.
