A new report indicates that the FBI received a detailed tip about Parkland shooter Nikolas Cruz in January that explicitly warned them about his Instagram account and his desire to kill people.
“I know he’s going to explode,” the tipster said.
An unidentified woman told the FBI, “I just want someone to know about this so they can look into it.”
“If they think it’s something worth going into, fine. If not, I just know I have a clear conscience if he takes off and just starts shooting places up.”
The tipster claimed that Cruz had taken a bird from outside and cut into it with a knife in his mother’s kitchen. He then told his mom he wanted to see what was inside of it.
The tipster also specifically said that it seemed like Cruz “wants to kill people.”
The Wall Street Journal first reported on this tip Friday.

“CBS News has learned five and a half weeks before [Parkland] shooting, a woman called an FBI tip line, concerned Nikolas Cruz would ‘get into a school and just shoot the place up.’ She said he had a diminished mental capacity, and gave an ominous warning,” @BojorquezCBS reports. pic.twitter.com/1Krua0NmnI

She also ended the call by saying, “When you look into this, you can make the decision as to whether you want to go further or not. I just want to, you know, get if off my chest in case something does happen, and I do believe something’s going to happen.” (RELATED: Report: Four Deputies Waited Outside School During Shooting)
