They say imitation is the greatest form of flattery, but we think a book probably tops that.
If you inspire someone enough for that person to write an entire book in an attempt to understand you and your life, that’s pretty flattering. A lot of people have written books about Donald Trump since he was elected.
Everybody wants to figure out who Donald Trump is. Everyone wants to be the one who analyzes and unveils the method to the president’s madness, or lack thereof. Maybe he’s just your average billionaire who doesn’t think twice about what he says or does because he’s confident in himself from the start. Or maybe there really is some kind of deeper genius. Either way, people love to share their astonishingly different ideas about the man behind the red “MAGA” baseball cap.
From our own Chris Bedford’s “The Art of the Donald” to Michael Wolf’s controversial “Fire and Fury” to to James Comey’s soon-to-be book, “A Higher Loyalty,” due in April 2018, there have been many opposing takes on the billionaire-turned-president and the many changes he’s made since Obama left office in 2017. And does it surprise anyone that the former-FBI director took his own personal controversy with the Trump Administration and turned it into a book? Why not turn one’s downfall into a bestseller? Hillary did it, too. It’s all a tactic — and a lucrative one, at that.
President Donald Trump will always be an interesting topic — one that people will relate to now while he’s still in office and years from now, when our children’s children are learning about his legacy in school.
