Former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci told The Jamie Weinstein podcast Monday that he views Drudge Report founder and publisher Matthew Drudge as a “brilliant media entrepreneur.”

“Honestly I don’t know him, but he’s a brilliant media entrepreneur,” Scaramucci told host Jamie Weinstein during a name association segment. “And I would say most people that like politics, whether they’re Democrats or Republicans, go to the site. I’m impressed with the guy. I don’t know him.”

“Met him a few times, He’s got a good show,” the Mooch added of Fox News host and Daily Caller founder Tucker Carlson. “He’s an incisive questioner. He’s the antidote to a Rachel Maddow, he’s the opposite side. I think Rachel Maddow is immensely talented, by the way. I watch her show.”

Scaramucci also told Weinstein he’s currently trying to launch “talk show related” programing.

“There’s a number of different things that I’ve been presented. We’ll have to see,” he explained. “I’m a commercial guy so I have to analyze what’s best for my personality, what’s best for my skill set, and what I think could work. But that could happen or it may not happen.”

“I mean, here’s the great thing about life ok? It doesn’t really matter. If it happens, that’s phenomenal and I’ll do the best I can at it. If it doesn’t happen, I’m going to be doing something else. My guess is it’ll have a positive outcome.”
