Marjory Stoneman Douglas student Alfonso Calderon asserted Wednesday that the NRA is “basically killing children,” prompting zero pushback from CNN’s Wolf Blitzer.

CNN has been notorious for letting victims of the Parkland school shooting smear the NRA, including at their town hall last week where one student insisted that NRA spokeswoman Dana Loesch doesn’t care about her own children. That trend continued shortly after classes let out on the students’ first day back at school after the shooting.

Junior Alfonso Calderon praised Dick’s Sporting Goods’ decision to raise the minimum purchase age for firearms to 21, arguing, “I’m glad that companies, which are what will stop the NRA from doing what they’re doing, basically killing kids, the companies are going to be the ones that are going to stop this.”

“The NRA has shown themselves to be toxic, vile, and to not support the right to live, which is in the preamble of the Constitution,” Calderon continued. “I want them to remember they always talk about the Second Amendment, but that preamble is before it.”

Anchor Wolf Blitzer chose not to challenge or even acknowledge the student’s language, instead thanking him for coming on the show and promptly ending the interview.

“We’ll continue these conversations down the road,” Blitzer conceded. “Good luck to you. Good luck to all your friends at school, your families. Thank you very much for joining us.”
