Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio are both set to star in Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming movie about the grizzly murders done by Charles Manson’s cult.

Deadline reported the following:

Quentin Tarantino has set Brad Pitt to star with Leonardo DiCaprio in his upcoming film, and the filmmaker has chosen a title. Tarantino’s ninth film is Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. Pic is set for August 9, 2019 release worldwide. Per Sony, Tarantino describes the film as “a story that takes place in Los Angeles in 1969, at the height of hippy Hollywood. The two lead characters are Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio), former star of a western TV series, and his longtime stunt double Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt). Both are struggling to make it in a Hollywood they don’t recognize anymore. But Rick has a very famous next-door neighbor…Sharon Tate.”

I could not be more excited about this movie. I was already super pumped when I heard DiCaprio was going to be in it, and now we get Brad Pitt, too. Does it get better than that? I don’t think so. DiCaprio and Pitt were, and still are, two of the biggest power players in Hollywood during my lifetime.

Everything they touch turns to gold. Think about all the great cinema the two have produced: DiCaprio has “The Revenant,” “Gatsby,” “Shutter Island,” “Titanic,” and “Departed.” Pit has “Fight Club,” “Allied,” the “Oceans” movies, and a ton more.

It’s going to be a very fun ride to see what Tarantino does with two of Hollywood’s greatest actors and such a gritty concept. The murder of Sharon Tate is horrific, and Manson is known as one of the most evil men to ever live. Hopefully Tarantino doesn’t take it easy or glorify anything. Now we all just have to wait to see who will play the infamous cult leader. I’m guessing it’s going to be somebody huge.
