MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough once again falsely claimed the late Justice Antonin Scalia didn’t believe assault rifles were protected under the Second Amendment and warned President Donald Trump against confiscating guns without due process.

“Morning Joe” co-host Willie Geist said Republicans are paranoid about a “gun grab” and labeled it a conspiracy, before turning it over to Scarborough for his take.

“And of course [the gun grab] will never happen because as I’ve always said, on the other side of the equation when people said I have a constitutional right to have an AR-15 — no, you don’t. You don’t have that power under the Constitution,” Scarborough said. “Scalia didn’t give it to you in Heller. And Mr. president you do not have that power to grab guns first and have due process later.”

Scarborough had already been caught misinterpreting Scalia’s beliefs back in February, when he was proven wrong about the late justice’s stance on assault-style weapons.
