Republican Utah Sen. Orrin Hatch didn’t hold back on his thoughts about Obamacare during a speech at the American Enterprise Institute Wednesday night.

Hatch spoke about the tax reform package passed by Republicans late last year, noting that his party was also able to repeal the Obamacare individual mandate in the legislation. When he got to the topic of Obamacare in general, Hatch had some choice words.
“We also finally did away with the individual mandate,” he said. “That tax that was established under that wonderful bill called Obamacare. Now, if you didn’t catch on, I was being sarcastic. That was the stupidest, dumbass bill that I’ve ever seen.”
“Now some of you may have loved it — if you do, you are one of the stupidest, dumbass people I’ve ever met. And there are a lot of them up there on Capitol Hill from time to time.”
