Users can delete regretful WhatsApp messages after they are sent.

The new “Delete for Everyone” tool will allow users to erase embarrassing text messages even after they are sent to other recipients, the Daily Mail reported. This feature is currently available for select Android users and allows a 68 minutes and 16 seconds window to delete messages. The text gets replaced with a “this message was deleted” notification in the chat.

Users can delete messages in both an individual chat and in a group chat. “This is particularly useful if you sent a message to the wrong chat or if the message you sent contains a mistake,” says the popular instant messaging company on their FAQ page.

WhatsApp previously created a shorter seven minutes window for deleting texts in 2017. The company is adding time due to customer complaints about the short window available to delete the texts.
