A 2 year old in Shanghai, China, reportedly locked his mother’s iPhone for 48 years after trying to watch the children’s show “Peppa Pig.”

After leaving her toddler with the mobile device unattended momentarily, the woman picked up the phone and realized that it was inaccessible beyond the opening screen.

“iPhone is disabled, try again in 25,114,980 minutes,” a message on the advanced phone read, reported Business Insider.

Dismayed, the woman was only left with two options, according to Apple support staff at a service center. She could either wait 48 years — the approximate equivalent of the 25,114,980 minutes — or reset the whole phone back to its rudimentary factory settings.

The woman chose to reset the phone. All of her data that wasn’t stored elsewhere was deleted.

The Chinese report that originally covered the incident said the highly inflated time span was likely caused by a date and time error on the iPhone. Apple, along with other smartphone purveyors, install cybersecurity technology that usually locks out users (or would-be infiltrators) if they fail to put in the correct pass code or pin number 10 times.
