Dana Loesch Drops Truth Bomb On Gun Control Advocates About Gun Free Zones
NRA spokeswoman Dana Loesch said gun free zones leave ordinary people defenseless and shouldn’t be touted as a solution to combating gun violence, Thursday on “Fox & Friends.”
Loesch thinks there should be a national discussion about school safety and arming teachers in the classroom but believes there is no “one size fits all” plan to cover everyone.
“I always support school districts and teachers and parents coming together to determine how to best address their school security issue. And this is something that schools all across America are going to have to determine on a case-by-case basis,” Loesch said. “I would caution everyone that there’s no one size fits all for schools when it comes to security because every school is different. Locations are different. Parents and teachers are different, and some teachers may feel more comfortable than others training and carrying in school.”
Loesch also quoted statistics claiming 98.4 percent of mass shootings occur within gun free zones, and she believes the laws should be changed immediately.
“Also, getting rid of gun-free zones. Once again, I just want to throw the statistic out that since 1950 to July of 2016, 98.4 percent of mass shootings, these mass casualty incidents have taken place in gun-free zones,” she concluded. “So this is the one thing that we immediately first need to get rid of is this idea that creating soft targets and making people defenseless somehow keeps them safer.”
