New York Times reporter Jeremy Peters took a big risk on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” Thursday, when he criticized the term microaggression and called out American college students for being “wusses.”

Peters said academia has become overly sensitive, and it is beginning to affect the way people interact with each other on a daily basis.

“Just think about the way that we now — or people on college campuses, a lot of times talk about speech as a form of aggression,” Peters said. “That term microaggression. That you are actually wounding someone. It’s just — it’s totally changed the way that we interact with one another, and really I think made wusses out of our college kids.”
