A Veterans home in California is on lockdown after reports of an active shooter holding three hostages emerged Friday morning, the Associated Press reported.

“Law enforcement is at the Yountville Veteran’s Home right now following reports of gunfire. The safety of our residents, workers and the community is our top priority,” the veterans home said in a statement on Facebook. “We have activated our emergency response protocol and are cooperating with law enforcement. Further official information will be provided by law enforcement when it is confirmed.”
Albert Wong, a U.S. Army veteran three women hostage for ten hours before killing them and himself. Wong served in Afghanistan from April 2011 to March 2012. After his service he entered in The Pathway Home’s veteran treatment program, before he was recently expelled, according to a relative of one of the women who was killed.

Authorities said at least thirty shots were fired off in the veterans home. Wong entered the veterans home in a bulletproof vest, letting some people free, but holding the three women hostage, one of whom was 7 months pregnant.
