“Morning Joe” hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski peddled a conspiracy theory on NBC News Friday, claiming President Donald Trump is using North Korea to distract from the Stormy Daniels controversy.

Porn star “Stormy Daniels,” whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, has sued Trump and claims to have had an affair with the commander-in-chief.

“Is this a deflection,” Brzezinski asked.

“Of course, it’s a deflection,” Scarborough replied. “Yes, of course, from Stormy.”

“This is the king of deflection,” Brzezinski added. “And he was very disturbed yesterday.”

Brzezinski claimed Trump was trying to spare his family further embarrassment and wanted to drudge up a story that would distract from the truth.

“He does not want his family seeing the porn star on the front pages of the papers. It causes deep distress to him to have details of that being revealed by his press secretary,” Brzezinski concluded. “And it seems that this was, this was his point, was to deflect.”
