CNN’s Jim Acosta was the star of a Monday article in the The Daily Beast about his reputation and relationship with the Trump administration.

The Daily Beast article — titled, “CNN’s Jim Acosta: The Trump Trolls Who Want Me Dead” and written by Lloyd Grove — reports that Acosta often receives angry messages from Trump fans.

Jim Acosta, Senior White House Correspondent for CNN, speaks on camera after US President Donald Trump held an event about the passage of tax reform legislation on the South Lawn of the White House in Washington, DC, December 20, 2017.

Acosta reportedly said that he never thought that Trump would win the election in the first place.

“My sense is that in the the same way Americans got tired of watching The Apprentice on NBC, they’re eventually going to get weary of this reality TV-style president—which is essentially what we have right now,” Acosta told The Daily Beast.

The Apprentice was hosted by Trump for 14 straight seasons.

Finally, the CNN reporter ends the article by saying, “There are days when you can’t be the shrinking violet,” adding,”I’m going to do my damn job.”

Acosta recently shouted at White House press secretary Sarah Sanders about CNN not being given a question in the press briefing in a few days.

“Sarah, this is the third briefing that you’ve not taken a question from CNN,” he yelled at the end of the briefing. (RELATED: Acosta Whines That CNN Doesn’t Get Questions At White House, Sanders’ Response Is Cold As Ice)
