Today is officially the start of March Madness.

Millions of people across America have waited since the start of last April for today to arrive. Today is a glorious day in America and for millions of men and women from sea to shining sea.

This afternoon dozens of teams will take the court, face off in stiff competition and compete for the opportunity to keep playing. It’s all about surviving and advancing at this point.

Young men will rise to glory, teams will fall in the most heartbreaking fashion and we will all be there to watch it happen.

March Madness is all about traditions too. For example, every year I bring in donuts in the morning to celebrate the monumental day for America and start crushing beers quickly thereafter in the afternoon. Our founding fathers wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.

Sure, I’m bummed Wisconsin isn’t playing, but it’d probably be unfair anyways given the absurd winning streak in life I’ve been on lately.

Just because Wisconsin isn’t playing doesn’t mean that I still don’t have the opportunity to rake in the cash. You know I put a bunch of money down, and I have zero intentions of going home empty-handed.

This is what we’ve waited a year for. Today is the day we find out who are the men and who are the boys, we find out if we’re as good at betting as we believe we are and we get to do it over several weeks. Damn, I sure am proud to be an American.
