“Morning Joe” hailed special counsel Bob Mueller as a servant of the people and labeled him an “American patriot,” Monday on MSNBC.
“Morning Joe” regular and “veteran columnist” Mike Barnicle said Mueller is above politics and has no desire for fame or notoriety.

“I know Bob Mueller and he’s described as being a Republican. But Bob Mueller is not a Republican. He’s an American. He’s an American patriot,” Barnicle said. “He’s neither a Republican nor a Democrat. You can look at his entire career. It has not been aimed at gaining riches, becoming famous. It’s aimed at helping and assisting the country, our country, the United States of America. And Josh Earnest, I don’t know about you, but the idea of the sitting president of the United States attacking by name, by name, a patriot, a guy involved in an independent investigation no matter the frills of how it’s being covered, political from the left or the right, is just abhorrent.”
