Millions of people are fans of the hit show “Friday Night Lights,” and that includes country music star Thomas Rhett.

A video is circulating the web of the “Vacation” singer impersonating coach Eric Taylor giving his quarterback Matt Saracen a motivational speech.

It’s spot on, and will have you questioning whether or not you’re watching Rhett or Kyle Chandler.

It really can’t get much better than Rhett’s performance there. He’s got the accent down, he’s got the tone, he’s got the timing and he sold the attitude perfectly. I give it a solid 9/10.

“Friday Night Lights” was one of the coolest television shows I’ve ever seen. It covered so many great topics that young people face, and used football as the avenue to tell the story.

It covered the good and the bad. From the highest of highs to the lowest of lows. One season they’re winning a state championship, and the next season abortion is a major plot point. That’s a pretty wide net for a show to throw, but ‘FNL’ did it perfectly.

I’m now thinking we need to do a reboot and have Rhett front and center as the next head coach. That would be outstanding television.
