The second season of HBO’s hit show “Westworld” will be titled “The Door.”

I love the idea of the second season being titled “The Door,” especially given the ending of the first season.

Entertainment Weekly wrote the following on what it might mean:

So let’s discuss: “The Maze” is a pretty clear title for season 1 — the hosts navigated the meticulously constructed mental labyrinth crafted by their human creators to unlock their past. The center of the maze was true consciousness; the voice that Arnold wanted Dolores to hear was her own.

The season 2 name “The Door” is rather intriguing because doors, after all, always lead somewhere. So “The Door” could be an opening to another of the Westworld parks (such as ShogunWorld) or even could take the hosts outside the park for the first time.

I really like the idea of the “The Door” being a metaphor for the hosts leaving the park, and wreaking havoc on the outside world.

The whole idea of going to a different world just seems so dumb to me. The show is called “Westworld” for a reason, and the western park is what people fell in love with..It makes next to no sense to try and change that in the second season.

Here’s what we need for the second season, and it’s not complicated. Just show me a bunch of people getting destroyed, show me more about William becoming the Man in Black and let chaos run supreme.

It’s not rocket science. Just give the people what they’re asking for, stick to the same formula as before and everything will be perfect.

The second season will hit HBO April 22.
