The first trailer for Andrew Garfield’s new movie “Under the Silver Lake” was released Wednesday.

The plot of the film, according to the YouTube description, is, “Centers on a man named Sam (Garfield) who becomes obsessed with the strange circumstances of a billionaire mogul’s murder and the kidnapping of a girl. Riley Keough as Sarah, Sam’s new neighbor. Topher Grace as Sam’s friend who helps him with an investigation surrounding a missing woman.”

Jimmi Simpson of “Westworld” and Topher Grace both join Garfield in the cast. The trailer paints a trippy picture for the audience as the movie follows Garfield on his hunt for a woman.

This generally isn’t my kind of movie, but I’m intrigued by the trailer. It’s an interesting question to ponder of what you’d do if a woman you were falling for left over night, and all you had to track her down was a small set of clues.

Now, I could be totally wrong here. After all, I couldn’t have been more wrong about Red Sparrow. That movie was awful, but I think I’m going to correct. “Under the Silver Lake” looks like it has that special sauce.

It will hit theaters June 22.
