People voting in my Twitter poll overwhelmingly believe President Donald Trump could beat Joe Biden in a fight.

A Trump vs. Biden fight is literally all anybody has been talking about ever since they traded barbs, and the President jumped off the top rope on Twitter claiming he’d make easy work of the former VP.

Naturally, I had to throw out a poll to all the people eager to weigh in on social media. The results are extremely one-sided. So far there have been more than 2,400 votes and 90 percent of people are taking Trump in a fight.

Look, I’m not a fighting expert by any measure. I watching boxing and the UFC, but that’s the extent of my knowledge.

Having said that, there are a couple things that should be noted in this poll, especially given how one-sided it is. The first is that in fighting, such as boxing or MMA, speed and stamina are just as important if not more important than size. Biden is a little bit smaller and almost certainly in better shape. That’s a dangerous combination, especially in boxing. Just look at the McGregor/Mayweather fight. McGregor owned the early rounds but eventually became exhausted, at which point Mayweather pounced.

Trump is larger, and would likely pack a rougher hook. Yet, how much stamina would he have after three or four rounds? Here’s what I would tell each of them if I was there coach. I’d tell Trump he needs to win the boxing match before the thing hits the seventh round. End it quick. The longer it goes the more likely it is Biden hangs around.

I’d tell Biden he needs to dance like he’s at a country music hall for the first eight rounds, and get Trump as tired as he possible can. Biden needs this fight to go as many rounds as possible to give himself the greatest chance at winning.

Keep on voting, and I’ll be sure to update the whole thing tomorrow when we have final results.
