Pittsburgh Penguins star center Sidney Crosby scored a goal Wednesday night against the Montreal Canadiens that must be seen to be believed.

Crosby is known for his silky smooth hands and his ability to move the puck unlike pretty much everybody else in the league.

It’s the reason why he’s been so dominant since touching the ice in the NHL, and Wednesday night was just another reminder in case anybody forgot. The Canadian-born phenom scored a goal by chipping the puck up with his stick, and then backhanding it in without the puck ever hitting the ice.

I’m not even close to being a Sidney Crosby fan, but that goal was sickening. Absolutely disgusting display of talent from one of the greatest to ever play the game.

There probably aren’t more than 10 players in the entire league who could have casually pulled that play off like he did.

Just phenomenal display of stick work and awareness of where the puck is. You just see goals like this one and you have to smile. It’s what hockey is all about.
