Fans and supporters of Colin Kaepernick are not pleased with NFL scouts showing up to evaluate Johnny Manziel for another shot in the league.

Manziel threw at the University of San Diego pro day Thursday, and had a very impressive showing in front of several scouts. There was the exact kind of reaction you’d expect on social media after it became pretty clear that Manziel is much closer to a comeback than Kaepernick.

Pissed off Kaepernick fans might be my favorite thing on the entire internet. This isn’t rocket science or nuclear engineering for all the Kaep fanboys out there. Did they all forget that the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback currently has a collusion lawsuit against the league? You don’t exactly get to sue the league, and then act shocked when they don’t want to sign you. Or, have they all forgotten about his Castro praise, attacking police, wearing socks depicting cops as pigs and his inability to articulate any point about why he refused to stand for the anthem? How about the fact fanbases would revolt in certain conservative markets if their teams signed Kaepernick?

Then there’s the obvious age factor. Johnny Manziel is only 25 years old. Kaepernick is 30. That’s a lifetime of difference when it comes to the NFL.

Watching people freakout without thinking about the facts when it comes to Kaepernick will never stop being funny. Manziel will be back in the NFL long before Kaepernick is, and Kaep has nobody to blame but himself. Johnny Football get on the right track, and didn’t sue the league’s owners for collusion along the way, trash America, praise a dictator or attack cops. It’s pretty cut and dry.
