Elon Musk’s father, Errol Musk, recently welcomed a beautiful baby boy into the world with a young South African woman named Jana Bezuidenhout. Everything seems very blissful except for the fact that Ms. Bezuidenhout is also Musk’s stepdaughter.
Musk, 72, and Bezuidenhout, 30, call their son Elliot “God’s plan.” According to the Sunday Times Of London, Musk married Jana’s mother when she was four years old. Musk claims he never thought of Jana as a daughter since he rarely saw her.
But things were a little complicated at first. Bezuidenhout claims Musk didn’t believe he was the father. He made her take a DNA test and, when it turned out that he was in fact the child’s dad, Musk stepped up.
“Jana is a delightful girl and a wonderful mother,” Musk said. “She said I changed her life.”
And while Musk and Bezuidenhout don’t live together, he says he see sees the baby regularly and provides any assistance necessary.
I think it goes without saying that this is bizarre. But those Musks are weird men. Elon Musk is this socially awkward evil genius who sends cars into space. And his dad dabbles in strange relationship practices.
Elon Musk is also on record saying his dad is a “terrible person.” Last year, he told Rolling Stone, “You have no idea about how bad [he was]. Almost every crime you can possibly think of, he has done. Almost every evil thing you could possibly think of, he has done.”
It’s probably pretty safe to say that Errol Musks is a questionable dude. And this latest revelation seems to fit the mold perfectly.
