Fans of the movie “World War Z” should get excited because the sequel sounds like it is very much happening.

Here is what we know about the Brad Pitt zombie thriller, according to Digital Spy:

Shooting is expected to begin in the autumn after it was delayed by Brad Pitt signing up for Quentin Tarantino’s latest. So the movie isn’t expected to be with us before 2020.

As you may have guessed, Brad Pitt is on board to reprise his starring role as former United Nations investigator and intrepid zombie fighter Gerry Lane.

David Fincher is currently the favourite to succeed the first movie’s director, Marc Forster.

I love this news because I was actually a huge fan of the first film. I’m not a huge zombie films guy, but I do find them entertaining if they’re done correctly.

“World War Z” was a fun rush of adrenaline as we watched Brad Pitt hop all over the planet looking for a cure.

I never read the book, but my buddies who did told me that it’s nothing like the movie. I’m okay with that. If I wanted to read the book then I’d just read the book.

All we need from the sequel is more of Pitt running around killing zombies and figuring out a way to end an epidemic. No need to get fancy with the whole thing. Keep it simple and keep it entertaining. That’s a recipe for success.
