An 8-year-old North Carolina boy was on a desperate mission to save his father’s life – and the President of the United States stepped in to help.
As The Daily Caller previously reported, Trae Putnam has a rare blood disease that is causing serious kidney failure. After three years of waiting for a kidney transplant, his son, Fore Putnam, took matters into his own hands. Fore wrote to three people he thought could help find his father a new kidney: Ivanka Trump, Donald Trump and Santa Claus.
The President responded to Fore with the following message:
Fore told Fox & Friends Friday that the letter from the president made him “really happy – because my dad might actually get a kidney.”
“I truly feel blessed. It’s really the only way to say it. It’s been a prayer answered,” Fore’s father, Trae added. “It’s basically made me go from feeling helpless to like I actually got a chance to get a kidney. And it’s really made me smile again.”
A GoFundMe page has also been set up for Trae Putnam to help him get a kidney and pay for the operation.
