“Roseanne” actress Sara Gilbert shot some bad news President Trump’s direction, despite his repeated praise of the ABC reboot last week.

Gilbert, who plays Roseanne’s daughter Darlene on the show, said Sunday the reboot won’t mention the president by name, and she promised that the show will “piss off conservatives.”

As the New York Daily News reports, Gilbert says there are a plethora of liberals to offset Roseanne’s Trum deplorable character.

“The Conners aren’t Trump supporters. Roseanne’s character is a Trump supporter — she’s the only one — and we never say his name, actually, in the show,” Gilbert told “Watch What Happens Live.

“The show is not about politics. It’s not about anyone’s position or a policy, it’s really about what happens to a family when there’s a political divide, which is something that I think the entire country can relate to and something we need to talk about. So, with our show, it’s never about ‘doing an issue’ or ‘doing politics,’ it’s ‘how do these things affect a family unit?’”

Trump is a fervent follower of the show and reportedly called star Roseanne Barr after the series premier hit the ratings stratosphere. He mentioned the sitcom again last Thursday when speaking to supporters in Richfield, Ohio.

“Look at Roseanne! I called her yesterday! Look at her ratings!” he said during a speech on infrastructure in Richfield, Ohio, Thursday that pegged viewers at “over 18 million people.”

Gilbert told the Hollywood Reporter last week that Trump shouldn’t expect too much from the series.

“We keep saying that the first episode is going to piss off liberals and the other eight are going to piss off conservatives.”
