What’s The Point Of The Weekends Without College Football Or Basketball?

We’re about to have our first weekend of the year without college football or basketball, and I’m not sure what to do.

There are always rough times throughout the year, but the first weekend without college sports is rough. My routine is almost always the same on the weekend. Get some work done in the morning, hit up the store, fire up some lunch and have the first beer cracked and ready to go by the first game.

It might not be a routine that works for everybody, but it works for me. I’ve been on this weekend schedule during the season for years. It provides strict structure and reasons to get hyped for games.

That’s all done until August. What do I do now? What is the purpose of the weekend anymore? Do I just lounge around pondering life? That doesn’t sound fun at all.

Sure, the NHL, NBA and the MLB are all still going strong, but it’s just not the same. There’s nothing that tops college basketball or college football. There’s truly nothing like it at all.

I guess we just must persevere until we get our sports back. We don’t have a choice because Americans don’t complain. We just rub a little dirt in it, and get back up.

Right now, we’re all down on the ground. We’re struggling without our sports. It’s time to get up and figure out something to do. Besides, it’s never too early to start breaking down college football scenarios. After all, we’re only a few months away. Those who fail in the preparation will fail in the game. Looks like it’s time to get to scouting. Seems like something perfectly designed to go along with a nice cold beer.
