President Trump spoke to families and business owners who have benefited from the GOP tax cuts at a Thursday afternoon roundtable in West Virginia.

A wide array of West Virginians spoke to Trump onstage about how the tax cuts and pay bonuses benefited them personally, and one couple had a particularly touching story. Tony Hodge, a mail carrier, and his wife, Jessica, got emotional when they described how much the extra cash means to them.

Tony asked his wife to say a few words, and she immediately broke down.

“I just want to say thank you. I said I was not going to cry,” Mrs. Hodge said. “I just want to say thank you to you for the tax cuts. This is a big deal for our family.”

Mrs. Hodge continued, saying her son wanted to be president one day:

We really support you and this is a big deal because tax cuts are a big deal. Thank you for listening to us and fighting for us. Thank you for caring enough to allow us the opportunity to come here and tell thank you to your face, my boys, my little 10-year-old wants to be president one day.

Trump responded to the comment, saying, “It will happen.”

Trump went on to say they were a “beautiful family.”
