President Donald Trump went after The Washington Post on Twitter Thursday for a headline it ran about a possible trade war with China.

Trump said the headline was false and was an example of “bad reporting.” He also referred to WaPo as “Amazon’s chief lobbyist.”

Trump tweeted that the headline should have pointed out how defiant he was with his tariff plan and how it will “end barriers” and reduce the theft of America’s intellectual property.

Trump’s war with Amazon has been ramping up over the last several days, with both sides issuing statements and instructing their surrogates to attack the other side.

WaPo responded on Wednesday to Trump’s recent criticism through an article on CNN.com. WaPo CEO Fred Ryan said the outlet’s editorial discretion is not dictated by Amazon or Jeff Bezos and claimed the newspaper “operates with complete independence in making all news and editorial decisions. We alone decide what to publish.”
