“I think it’s important to put context in its place first. 400,000 Syrians have been killed, it’s the worst refugee crisis since World War II. The red line that was–President Obama said if it was crossed we would go in and take action happened in 2012–it’s 2018,” McCain said.

“Red line meaning the use of chemical gas. Which, again, if you’ve been on social media, all this weekend, the videos coming out are absolutely horrific.”

President Trump said Monday, “The Syrians hit their own people with banned chemical weapons. It was an atrocious attack. It was horrible.”

“We’ll be making some major decisions over the next 24 to 48 hours. We are very concerned. When a thing like that can happen–we’re talking about humanity. It can’t be allowed to happen. We’ll be looking at that barbaric act and studying what’s going on.” (RELATED: Trump Slams Assad For Gas Attacks, Warns Decision Coming In ’24 To 48 Hours’)
