The United States Army Special Forces Turns 31 Years Old Today

The United States Army Special Forces turns 31 years old today, which seems like the perfect time to recognize the heroes who lay they lives on the line every day to protect our freedom.

The United States Army released a video to celebrate the special occasion on Monday morning that gives citizens just a glimpse of the risks these brave men and women take to defend our way of living.

The Special Forces, commonly known as the Green Berets, was officially established as a basic branch of the Army on April 9, 1987. It is one of the most elite teams in all of the armed forces and while the Navy SEALs are are better known, Special Forces Soldiers are just fine flying under the radar as the Army’s “quiet professionals.”

Take a moment on this Monday to appreciate the countless sacrifices the Special Forces Soldiers make each and ever day. They don’t need the recognition, but they certainly deserve it.
