The NHL recently released a video of Snoop Dogg breaking down the Stanley Cup playoffs, and it’s nothing short of incredible.
Snoop Dogg made a career for himself spitting rhymes and becoming a major player in the rap game.
What you probably don’t know is that Snoop is also a bit of a hockey fanatic. The man loves his puck, which is obviously why the NHL brought him in to make this hilarious video.
In all seriousness, it’s pretty cool that the NHL and Snoop Dogg are collaborating. It helps the sport reach a bit of a different market and gain some viral attention. I’m onboard with anything that helps the NHL continue to grow and expand its fanbase.
The Stanley Cup is also without question the coolest trophy in sports. One of my close college friends had a cousin who won the Stanley Cup a couple years back, and thus, got to pound some beers out if it on his cousin’s day with the cup. I was insanely jealous of that experience. I could die immediately after drinking a beer out of the cup, and I’d be a happy man. That’s how you know it’s a great trophy.
Maybe someday I’ll just have to buy a team because I really don’t see any other option for getting my hands on the cup.
