Presidential counselor Kellyanne Conway criticized CNN and former FBI director James Comey in a marathon interview on the network Monday morning.

The White House counselor was quizzed by CNN morning host Chris Cuomo on why President Donald Trump has not expressed confidence in special counsel Robert Mueller or deputy attorney general Rod Rosenstein. Trump has targeted both in recent tweets for their roles in the ongoing investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.

Conway retorted in an exchange:

>> Is your job safe at CNN?
>> It’s very safe. I have a contract.
>> How do you know they have confidence in you at CNN?
>> My boss says he has confidence. He says I’m very safe.

She continued that Trump “implicitly” has confidence in both Mueller and Rosenstein because they continue to serve in their roles. The conversation pivoted to former FBI director James Comey with Conway repeating frequent White House accusations that he is lying about interactions he had with the President while remaining in office.
