Michigan football player Elysee Mbem-Bosse might be in some hot water after a lengthy Twitter rant Monday night.
The sophomore linebacker tweeted about sending people to the morgue, guns, murder and tagged head coach Jim Harbaugh in the rant that came after her was suspended from the team. The tweets are extremely disturbing.
The police are also reportedly involved, and have met with members of the Michigan athletic department.
Just got word:
U. Of Michigan campus police and Ann Arbor police officers and detectives responded to the Elysee Mbem-Bosse Twitter threats.
They met with Football staff and Athletic Dept staff to gather information, including Elysee’s last known address.
Stay tuned.

This shouldn’t even have to be said, but this is a really bad situation. We’re living in an era where threats or even the perception of threats are no longer tolerated. You can bet every single dollar that you have that the authorities will not be taking these tweets lightly. You can’t be talking about putting people in the morgue, and not have a massive response. Again, people are on edge after Parkland.
There is also nothing on the planet that involves sports that should ever motivate anybody to send tweets of this nature. I don’t care if you’re suspended or cut from a team. At the end of the day, your life isn’t over from a sports suspension. It’s not a life or death situation. Hopefully, Mbem-Bosse gets some help because he clearly needs it.
