CNN “New Day” host Chris Cuomo continued bashing MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” on Twitter Monday and said the show’s brand of division is only geared towards profit.
Cuomo claimed the combative style of “Morning Joe” makes the hosts richer and more influential but “gets us nowhere.” He also included a link to an article from Raw Story about hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski mocking Trump’s past financial issues.
Division sells. More entertaining, makes pundits powerful and profitable, easier to cover for news media, even resonates more with partisans. But it gets us nowhere. Criticism is warranted, but how you do it and the balance with finding common ground/pushing action matters too https://t.co/59bCi57con

This isn’t the first shot Cuomo has taken at the competition. He compared “Morning Joe” to Fox News’ Sean Hannity on Thursday and criticized their flip-flopping on Trump.
“Remember in the days of the glow, when [Joe] and Mika spoke to Trump all the time, had him on, discussed what questions to talk about in the break. And they were the Trump whisperers,” Cuomo said. “I was watching the headlines closely, because I believed it worked against us here. Because we didn’t have that kind of access because we weren’t ‘mwah mwah mwah [kissing sound]’ with Donald Trump all the time.”
“Now it’s suiting them to do the opposite,” Cuomo concluded. “That hasn’t been called out either.”
