The National Rifle Association’s political action committee eclipsed a 15-year fundraising record in March when it pulled in $2.4 million in donations, the Miami Herald reports.

The donations to the National Rifle Association’s Political Victory Fund reached $2.4 million from March 1 to March 31, the first full calendar month since the Valentine’s Day massacre at Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, that left 17 dead and several more injured.

This is the highest one-month fundraising total since June 2003, according to Federal Election Commission documents reported by the Herald.

The donations for March 2018 surpass March 2017 donations by $1.5 million and February 2018 donations by $1.6 million.

A significant portion of the donations came from small donors who gave $200 or less — $1.9 million out of the total $2.4 million.

On the other side of the aisle, the March for Our Lives movement has raised a staggering $3.5 million since Feb. 18, according to GoFundMe.
