Whenever something overtly absurd happens in pop culture, you can bet there’s a Kardashian involved.
Today, it comes in the midst of Kanye West’s newfound political awakening. The rapper has been tweeting some pretty interesting philosophical musings over the past week; he complimented conservative commentator Candace Owens this weekend, called out “thought police” and “self-victimization” and attacked “fake news” Wednesday morning. This all comes after The Blast reported that Kanye West told a Hot 97.1 radio DJ that he “loves” Donald Trump. In a since-deleted Tweet, Kanye also said “the mob can’t make me not love him. We are both dragon energy. He is my brother.”
And while most of Twitter was loving Kanye’s recent reeducation, his wife tried to put a stop to it.
Shortly after his Trump tweet storm, Kim reportedly demanded that her husband revoke his kind words for the president.
“My wife just called me and she wanted me to make this clear to everyone,” he tweeted. “I don’t agree with everything Trump does. I don’t agree 100% with anyone but myself.”

Now listen. I don’t think Kanye is a political genius. But he kind of sounded like he was on to something for a while. But now, we may never know what Kanye’s real thoughts are since Kim, and what seems like most of the world, wants him to keep quiet. We’ll stay listing to see if he pipes up again.
