CNN counterterrorism analyst Phil Mudd threw a mini temper tantrum on Saturday night after listening to President Donald Trump speak at a Michigan rally.

WATCH:

CNN played a clip of Trump from the rally where he claimed that Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya lied about having closer ties to the Kremlin than previously suggested in order to create more chaos for the American people.

When asked to respond to Trump’s assertion, Mudd yelled “Shut up!” and tossed his pen over the news desk and onto the floor.

“Are you kidding me?” he added.

The other panelists present laughed at his childish antics, and Mudd went on to argue that the president has never directed his national security adviser to prevent Russia from interfering in elections.

“I want to know how are you going to protect us, brother? How are you going to protect us?” Mudd whined.

Interestingly enough, Mudd later conceded that the president was probably right about Veselnitskaya but “needs to talk about how to protect us, not how to protect him.”
