Comedienne Michelle Wolf earned the unified criticism of America’s politicians and political pundits after her speech at the White House Correspondents Association Dinner Saturday, but she doesn’t regret her performance.

Wolf hurled insults and bullied members of the Trump White House and media in the speech, drawing the disgust of many in attendance. Now, she’s unrepentantly doubling down on the comments.

In an unapologetic interview with NPR after the dinner, Wolf says she does not regret a word of the speech and that she is “glad [she] stuck to [her] guns.”

When asked specifically about the attacks on Sarah Sanders’ looks, Wolf demurred. The comedian said that her joke attacking Sanders’ makeup “wasn’t about Sarah’s looks.” She added that comparing the White House press secretary to a frumpy fictional character that runs a sex-cult in “The Handmaiden’s Tale” was a reference to her “personality.”

However, one of the most confounding and stunning quotes in the interview came when the NPR reporter asked what might not have been caught on cameras during the dinner. Wolf used the opportunity to attack Sanders again, critiquing her for not standing when CNN won an award:

Part of the dinner that wasn’t televised is they were giving out awards and everyone was standing to congratulate the people that were getting awards and [White House press secretary] Sarah [Sanders] was sitting. … CNN reporters got awards. … They came up to accept them and [Sanders] sat the whole time, while we all stood and shook their hands. I would say if this is about celebrating the media, she wasn’t there to celebrate the media.

Since the dinner, The White House Correspondents Association apologized and disavowed Wolf’s performance. Hundreds of reporters and high-ranking members of the administration have savaged remarks. The president took to twitter to called the dinner “DEAD.”

Wolf attacked Sander’s looks and called her a “liar” while comparing her to a fictional sex-cult leader.

She also clumsily attacked Kellyanne Conway and made light of aborting a fetus, saying you should not “knock [abortion] ’til you try it.”
