President Donald Trump took a shot at special counsel Robert Mueller’s team of investigators as negotiations heat up over whether he will sit for an interview about Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.

Trump also referenced the recent grilling of Mueller prosectors by a federal judge overseeing the case against former Trump 2016 campaign manager Paul Manafort. The judge asked several tough questions of Mueller’s team, saying, “You don’t really care about Mr. Manafort’s bank fraud,” adding, “you really care about getting information Mr. Manafort can give you that would reflect on Mr. Trump and lead to his prosecution or impeachment.”

The president also referenced the recent findings of the house intelligence committee report which found no evidence of collusion between the Russian government and the Trump 2016 presidential campaign.
