Feminist startup “Knotty Vibes” launched its company with the mission to provide not only sanitary napkins but also free sex toys to women as a way of empowering them.
Knotty Vibes gives away sex toys and menstrual cups and pads to low-income women who might not be able to afford them otherwise, according to a Tuesday press release. The company also sells “empowering” phone cases and apparel, including “nasty woman” sweatshirts.
Its website also features posts applauding “whoreable decisions” and reasons why women should masturbate more.
With each purchase, the company donates to “women’s wellness organizations,” including Planned Parenthood.
Knotty Vibes also embraces gender fluidity. “At Knotty Vibes, we support all womxn, and those who do not identify within the gender binary,” reads its company description.
Sex education hasn’t just become mainstream in the form of newly established feminist companies online, however. The Orange County Board of Education decided in late April that parents can’t opt out of a sex education program, LifeSite News reports. The course’s state-approved “tool kit” includes information teaching young students about lubricants, as well as anal sex and sex toys, Red State reports.
