The Daily Caller’s Stephanie Hamill and Amber Athey are calling out some of the White House press corps for their blatant biases against President Donald J. Trump and his CIA pick Gina Haspel.
During a recent White House press briefing, The Washington Post’s Philip Rucker asked press secretary Sarah Sanders if Trump’s views on waterboarding would conflict with Haspel’s current stance on the issue. Hapel says she will not bring back waterboarding, an enhanced interrogation technique that was banned by the U.S. government in the late 2000s.
Sanders told Rucker the president has confidence in Haspel to lead the CIA and wants to see her do exactly that.
“You get the sense that some of these reporters care more about terrorists than keeping Americans Safe. We’re talking about evil people that have or want to murder Americans and these reporters are all worried about coddling them,” Hamill asserted.
“These are the same people who voted for ‘torture’ loving John Brennan, and now all of a sudden they have serious problems with Gina Haspel. She’s probably the most qualified CIA director ever,” Athey said.
