REPORTS: Police Respond To Multiple Potential School Shootings In Palmdale, California

UPDATE 12:05 PM — LA County Sheriff’s Department has “cleared” Highland High School. An active investigation is ongoing, but one suspect — a “male hispanic juvenile” has been taken into custody and the situation is believed to be contained.

UPDATE 11:35 AM LA County Sheriff’s has searched the campus at Manzanita Elementary and have found no evidence of a crime “so far.” The investigation is still ongoing.

Additionally, ABC reports that all Antelope Valley Union High School District schools have been placed on lockdown.

UPDATE 11:11 AM — There are possibly now two shootings in Palmdale, California, one at Highland High School and another at Manzanita Elementary School.

UPDATE 11:10 AM —  Highland High School shooter is reportedly in custody.

UPDATE 11:03 AM — One person has been hospitalized, NBC Bay Area reports. The extent of the individual’s injuries is unknown.

Police responded Friday to a possible school shooting at Highland High School in Palmdale, California.
