Florida Gov. Rick Scott thanked God for President Donald Trump Monday on “America’s Newsroom” and said his policy on Israel sends a clear message of strength to the Middle East.
“We need less partisanship here in our federal government. We need people to work together. But this is an outstanding day … Thank God for President Trump. He made a campaign promise, he followed through,” Scott, a U.S. Senate candidate, said on Fox News. “Israel is probably one of our best, if not our best allies in the world. America must continue to stand with Israel and do everything in its power to push for peace, Scott said.

“I think America has to stand strong. This is telling everybody in the Middle East, America is going to stand with Israel,” Scott said. “We’re going to fight for peace. We all believe in peace. Israel believes in peace and I think having a strong America that stands for something is going to make sure that there is a greater chance that we’ll have peace.”
He also said Trump did the right thing by walking away from the Iran nuclear deal.
“Walking away from the Iran deal was the right thing to do,” Scott concluded. “It was a horrible deal for America. It was a horrible deal for Israel.”
