Republican Rep. Mark Meadows urged his colleagues to stop talking about immigration reform and said he wants them to step up and take action, Thursday on Capitol Hill.

Meadows said he didn’t care if he ended up disagreeing with the plan; he just wants to see something done. (RELATED: Mark Meadows Thinks James Comey Lied To Congress Under Oath)

“We’ve been talking about immigration forever,” Meadows told reporters. “It is time that we make some decisions. And even if I’m not happy with that decision let’s got ahead and get immigration dealt with.”

WATCH:

Congress continues to be divided over how to proceed with immigration reform, as the GOP majority attempts to craft a bill that can pass both chambers and avoid a veto from President Donald Trump.

Meadows is a member of the House Freedom Caucus and has been an outspoken critic of illegal immigration and how the federal government has handled the issue.

Meadows’ office did not respond to The Daily Caller News Foundation request for comment.
