President Trump did not hold back in sending a direct message to North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un at a White House event Tuesday.

Trump answered questions for forty minutes at the White House with South Korean President Moon Jae-in as the talks between North Korea and the United States seem to be chilling.

Trump admitted that the announced Singapore Summit between the two nations may be off after North Korea has distanced itself from the June 12 talks.

Trump used the press conference to send a number of direct messages to Kim. First, Trump said, “I will guarantee his safety. We talked about that from the beginning. He will be safe. He will be happy.”

Trump promised economic investment in North Korea, saying “His country will be rich. His country will be hardworking and very prosperous.” Trump then complimented the North Korean people, saying “They are very great people. They are hard-working, great people,” continuing that he thinks Kim Jong-un “will be extremely happy if something works out. And if it doesn’t work out, honestly he can’t be happy.”

Trump said Kim will be “very proud of what he did for North Korea and actually for the world,” if he meets with the president and reopens his country. Trump finished his comments by pivoting to a well-worn slogan, saying America and its regional partners would “make North Korea great.”

“South Korea, China, and Japan, and I have spoken to all three… They will be willing to help and I believe invest very, very large sums of money into helping to make North Korea great.”

Trump’s 2016 campaign slogan was ‘Make America Great Again.’ The 2020 slogan will be “Keep America Great.” RELATED: Trump Reveals Slogan For 2020 Is Going To Be ‘Keep America Great!
