Trump canceled the June 12 summit planned with the North Korean leader after Kim Jong Un made several inflammatory statements in recent days. In his letter explaining his decision, Trump wrote, “You talk about your nuclear capabilities, but ours are so massive and powerful that I pray to God they will never have to be used.” (RELATED: Trump Cancels US-North Korea Summit)

Pelosi joked in a delivered statement that Trump’s letter came across “like a valentine” and that Kim Jong Un is probably having a “giggle fit” while reading it.

“We got the president’s letter, a copy of the president’s letter, chumming up kind of like a valentine,” she said. “When you got this letter from the president saying, ‘okay, never mind,’ [Kim Jong Un] must be having a giggle fit right there now in North Korea.”
