After a court hearing Wednesday, Avenatti said there were tapes or recorded audio kept by Cohen relating to Stormy Daniels. Avenatti alleged that “if there is nothing nefarious about this they should just come clean, and we know that this is dirty, we know that it’s ugly, and it’s getting more ugly by the day.”

MSNBC’s Craig Melvin then asked him if he leaked Cohen’s bank records (he did).

“We provided the summary report,” Avenatti said. “We didn’t do anything proper or illegal in that regard, and to the best of our knowledge we’re not under any investigation for anything we’ve done.”

Avenatti also said he believes there are “a lot of American people that have a lot of common sense. You don’t have to look very far to figure this out.”
